2008 RCT Info

To be eligible to attend an RCT, a school must have purchased 10 game packets from College Bowl and must have conducted a Campus Tournament open to all students.

Regionals will be held February 21-24, 2008. The actual tournament schedule and number of days vary and is set by the ACUI College Bowl Regional Coordinator.

This page is updated as the information is received from the Regional Coordinator.

The ACUI Program Team has established the following tournament format standards:

15 or more teams:	Full Round Robin OR Modified Round Robin with 4-team Double Elimination Playoff
8-14 teams:	Full Round Robin with 4-team Double Elimination Playoff
7 or fewer teams:	Double Round robin with a 4-team Double Elimination Playoff

Final tournament formats in each region depend on the number of teams. Check back here for regular updates. Schools interested in hosting future RCT's are asked to contact their ACUI College Bowl Regional Coordinator for more information.

RECENT PROCEDURAL CHANGES:

1. A full-time faculty or staff member is NO LONGER REQUIRED to accompany the team to the RCT (unless your Region requires otherwise) or to the NCT.  However, the Campus Coordinator who signs the RCT Team Eligibility form must still be a full-time faculty or staff member.
2. Team eligibility forms are submitted to College Bowl headquarters.  They are distributed to all eligible schools with their Campus Program Kit (on the CD-ROM).  Alternatively, you may download them:  RCT Eligibility Form in Microsoft Word format (preferred so that you can type the names) OR RCT Eligibility Form in Adobe Acrobat format.  Note that the registrar's seal is still required.
3. RCT sign-up takes place online.  School sign-ups and team rosters may be submitted starting in December.
